I
Let's become children again
and run off
stealing someone's train ticket
and fleeing to some far away ball
or hopping a ride on grand ship
we could dance to the ball music
and escape our mundane
life
We would have no worries
we could be free to live the life
we could have always dreamt of
together
Watch the world rushing by
while sitting on a daisy-filled hill
forever
The river under the bridge passes us by
The boat sends off into another adventure
The kings and queens come to greet us
II
however
we are but kids
in clothing far too big for us
like a fish out of water
we would be out of place
thinking these fantasies too much
ruins them
and that is the death of imagination
and hope
growing up
I hope it never happens to me
and I could live carefree
in another world
with you
perhaps
III
When I think of such a good life
I get taken out of it too quick
and struggle to return back
home
