The droning continues
of the faded midnight horizon
Each drop working together
to create a monotone hum
A deafening flash is
stretched across itself
An uncomfortably long
infinite pause pursues and
immediately after
the earth's spine trembles
in shock
for it to dim
and quieten
to the cold
and lonely
white noise
of midnight
